Summer is here and we’re looking to add a friend

Summer is here and we’re looking to add a friendly neighbourhood oyster shucker 🌊🦪🗡

You would have a valid BC DL and your own car, be available Sat & Sun through Jun-Aug to run our pop up at Sea Cider and help with some occasional events as we’re catching up on 2 years of delayed weddings. We also need you to have or get food safe. Don’t worry we’ll happily pay for it if you commit to the summer.

What we do is fun (at least we think so!)and we’ll teach you how to shuck and all the fun interesting oyster puns that comes with it..

The core of shucking is knowledge, wit & a good dose of hospitality.

Positivity, organization, ability to work independently, inquisitiveness and an engaging outgoing personality are all attributes that would add value to our experience and make you a great fit for us.

In return we offer $20 an hour + tips, Cool and interesting work environments, complimentary oysters, discounts on seafood buckets, and a flexible chill work environment.

What a great time catching up with our good friend and Team USA Rugby star @ilonamaher

Ilona and her amazing family took our airbnb experiences ‘learn how to shuck’ course a few years ago and it was a blast. Needless to say it’s been a while so it was time to test her skills… did she forget everything? Will she remember which way to point the knife? What about the nuances of telling people not all oysters are from Fanny Bay and nodding politely when someones mentions they get theirs right off the beach?

So much for her to remember… and of course doing it all with perfect shucks 🦪🗡

Ahhh no need to worry. She had this.. Oysters may have been a bit ‘rustic’ on the shuck but she attacked it with skill and her jokes & energy were on point. Needless to say she’s still got it.

Great to see all the Maher family. Lets not wait 3 years for the next meet up.
