Endless Summer Lobster Party

Price range: $190.00 through $270.00

The Endless Summer Lobster Party is our love letter to long Maine summer nights. The kind of nights where friends and family pile into the backyard, a lobster boil goes on the propane burner, butter starts melting, the music doesn’t really matter, and dinner runs late on purpose. This lobster boil bucket is built around that memory.

What’s in the bucket

Lobster leads. Andouille sausage carries the depth. Banana pepper hot sauce keeps things interesting. Every Endless Summer Lobster Party bucket includes:

  • Lobster
  • Manila clams
  • Andouille sausage
  • Corn on the cob
  • New baby potatoes
  • Onion, thyme, garlic, butter
  • Lemons
  • Banana pepper hot sauce
  • Baguette

The recipe tips its cap to the lobster boil tradition out of Portland, Maine, where Eventide Oyster Bar made the style famous. We built our version around what works on this coast.

Who it’s for

The Endless Summer Lobster Party is for the backyard hosts. People who already know that the best meals run two hours long and end with everyone leaning back in their chairs. Wedding rehearsal dinners. Birthday parties that should have been catered but weren’t. The night you tell your friends “just bring yourselves” and mean it.

If your version of summer ends with butter on your shirt and corn silk somewhere it shouldn’t be, this lobster boil bucket is yours.

Local sourcing

Lobster comes in from East Coast partners who share our standards. Manila clams from BC waters. Andouille from a smokehouse that knows what andouille is supposed to taste like. The thyme, garlic, butter, and citrus are the supporting cast that lets the lobster do its job.

Why locals order it

The Endless Summer Lobster Party is for the night you don’t want to be at the restaurant. The pot does the cooking. The butcher paper handles the mess. You stay outside with your people instead of running back to the kitchen. Bring a cracker if you have one. The rest is handled.

If you’re planning a wedding, reunion, or larger event, our catering team can build a lobster boil on site at scale. Get in touch through wanderingmollusk.com/services.

What to drink with it

Lobster works hardest with something crisp and cold. New England traditions point to a Sancerre or a Chablis. We suggest a BC Riesling if you want to keep it local, or a dry sparkling if the occasion calls for it. Beer drinkers, a pilsner or a session ale earns its place at the table. Going heavier, a martini with a twist sits very well next to the bucket.

Pickup and prep

Order on demand. Pickup at Shuck Taylor’s, 1324 Blanshard Street, Sunday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Buckets come ready to cook. Pot, instructions, everything you need except the heat source. Plan 20 minutes from pot on to first crack.

Eat your lobster boil bucket the same day when possible. Refrigerate overnight if you must. Bring your own lobster crackers, picks, and bibs.

Storage and the morning after

If you have leftovers, pull the meat from the lobster shells while it’s still slightly warm and store everything in a sealed container in the fridge. We suggest a next-day lobster roll. Pile the leftover meat on a buttered toasted bun with a smear of mayo, a squeeze of lemon, a few specks of celery, done. Or pull the meat into a chowder with the leftover corn and potatoes. Lobster keeps better than the clams, so when in doubt, smell first.

FAQ

Can I add on more seafood? Yes. See below for your options.

Do you deliver? No. Pickup only from Shuck Taylor’s. Keeps the shellfish on ice and keeps things simple.

How do I cook it? A gas stove or propane burner with direct heat will cook the bucket according to instructions. Induction stoves take longer, sometimes up to 40 minutes, because the heat disperses. When the lobster shells turn red and the clams open, it’s done.

How long does it stay fresh? Eat the same day when possible. Overnight in the fridge if needed.

How much notice do you need for pickup? One day notice, or you can walk in and wait with a beer while we build it for you.

Available 7 days a week!
Earliest availability is 12 pm and stored in the fridge for your arrival until 10pm.

Lobster Supply

We do not have lobster on tap. Lobster exists on the east coast and can be scarce due to availability. When that is the case although we do our best to deliver on our promise sometimes we just cant get the seafood you paid for without compromising. In that case we will be in touch to discuss refunds, bucket remixing or holding off for a later date.
